The MIGfast Tip significantly advances the control of the arc by creating a single point of contact within the Copper body via a Silver Steel Insert. When linked with the Alumina insulator at the end of the tip the result is reduced variability of the arc and an increase in the life of the tip. The Silver Steel and Alumina have much greater resistance to the abrasive characteristics of the steel wire.
Our tip is focused on the Robot Welding market in order to take full benefit of the speed advantage.
To use the tip to its full advantage changes to the parametric set-up of the welding cell are required but these are basically limited to voltage, wire feed speed and tip speed.
No capital investment is necessary unless the existing set-up cannot meet the faster wire feed and tip travel speeds reliably.
We are currently testing our tips with several Australian companies as well as 3 major US multinationals and 2 global welding supply companies. We fully expect to be supplying all of these companies by the end of the year.
