HOW IT WORKS
MIG welding tips have been in existence for decades and the basic design principle has not changed over time. Most are simple copper bodies with a machined through hole which generates multiple points of contact and therefore a fluctuating arc. This limits welding speed and creates significant spatter; leading to extra time spent on cleanup and rework.
The MIGfast tip’s uniquely engineered design overcomes the limitations faced with conventional tips by significantly advancing the control of the arc. This is done by creating a single point of contact within the Copper body via a metallic guide. When linked with the insulator at the end of the tip the result is reduced variability of the arc for reduced spatter and an increase in the life of the tip.
MIGfast tips weld faster because the single point of contact within the tip increases the preheating of the wire before the arc. The additional preheated wire allows the droplets to absorb more heat while passing through the arc, giving a smoother transfer into the weld pool and hence, a faster weld.
You are now able to lay 25% more weld down!
