MIGfast produces a consumable MIG welding contact tip that offers a quantum change in welding speed and tip life when compared with existing welding tips.
The patented welding tip has been designed to be interchangeable with existing welding tips to allow simple and cost-effective take-up of the new technology with no new capital investment. It is compatible with pulsed and non-pulsed MIG welding processes and offers the same benefits with both.
The MIGfast Tip is the result of 4 years of R&D initiated in the Australian CRC (Co-operative Research Centre) for Welded Structures with the original design being created and patented within that structure by the CSIRO
MIGfast Pty Ltd was formed in 2006 as a result of the acquisition by CEGT and Starfish Ventures of the patented technology developed by the CRC for Welded Structures. Our headquarters are located in Dandenong, Victoria where our engineering and sales groups and our tip assembly is based.
The MIGfast Welding Tip has been in production since November 2007.
